I've played with the 3ds max demo enough to see the power, but I need to get the hair into ue4 using hair cards. I'm learning all this, so my undstanding may not be complete. My question is, I think it's more optimized to use hair cards in ue4 than the groom real time hair since my characters do not need hair physics...just good engough looking hair with good textures. Question is, is the alembic export used for real time hair or is it for hair cards too? Since I cannot save under demo, I cannot test beyond max, so I cannot determine what I would use to export hair cards.
