Hi
This isn't going well we have signed up for 2 licenses on a month by month basis before considering purcahsing longer licenses and so far we haven't been able to use either of these licenses because every time we start up 3ds we get this pop up.

Are you trying to setup a floating license server for the licenses? Or you meant clicking the Install Licenser Server on this Computer? In any case, the error could mean that something in your end is blocking the connection, preventing the license server from connecting to the internet. If that is the case, trying allowing the license server in your firewall or antivirus. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)

thanks for your response, i have tried the 'install license server' button, otpion, and the connect, I have passed over the IP:port no. to our infrastructure team to just check the rules, but from my viewing i dont see any traffic getting blocked in or out, but will get them to check incase i have missed something.

I see. First double check that nothing is blocking the license server. Then release the license in your account, uninstall the license server, and install it again and run Ornatrix inside Max.
