Thank you for reporting this, and apologies for the long delay in replying.

This message comes from the Edit Guides node's Attribute Editor. In older versions it referred to a part of the Strand Channels interface that was being replaced. It is a non fatal script error: it does not crash Maya and it does not affect your guides or the resulting hair.

That older interface has since been removed and replaced, so the message no longer appears. The fix is included in the next Ornatrix Maya update, version 5.1.9. Once that build is posted on our website, updating to it will resolve this for you.
