Problems with push away from surface modifier

I can't get collision objects to work. Not sure if I'm missing something obvious, though I've tried as much as I can. I've attached a video showing the issue. Also getting some buggy behaviour with the modifier where strands get attracted to the open edges of the distribution mesh. Hair strands get bundled up along the edges as if they were pinned to them.

Any advice on these issues? I'm using Maya 2025.2 and Ornatrix v4.2.4.35022

Hi,

I can reproduce the issue about the collisions not working with external meshes. We are looking into this.

About the second issue, a closed mesh is required for all collision features in Ornatrix. The best approach in this case is to disable "Collide with Distribution Mesh" and let it only collide with the body.

I just found that the external collisions work if you freeze the transforms of the external mesh. I'm not sure if this is intended. I willl get back to you on that soon.

Thanks a lot Jeordanis, you're a hero :)

This bug has been fixed for the next build. Freezing The transforms should not be necessar anymore.
