hello ,i use the displacement map for my mesh,and i wanna the hair can root can be stay in right position ,so do you have some correct method to do it,i use arnold~

There is a displacement map option inside HairFromGuides operator. You can use the same greyscale map which you use with Arnold. You can also use the displacement value to adjust the offset value.

Thanks I was just trying to figure this out.

Would it be possible to have a checkbox "use displacement from base mesh shading group" to use any displacement textures and distance settings from the base mesh material? I find I'm having to guess the proper displacement value to match the base mesh displacement.

The value we use for the displacement offset is pretty arbitrary I think, would probably require quite a bit of tuning to get from the base material since there can be any shader assigned to the base object from any renderer. We could handle some standard setups I suppose but it would not be exhaustive.
