Flipping on ABC mesh

Hi,

I've been troubleshooting a scene for a while and have come up with something that works, but i'm wondering if there's a better workflow.

I have a "shaded" asset that has my fur groom which is based on the fur ball groom.  I reference that shaded file into my lighting scene and apply abc point cache animation.  It works for the most part, but there are always little flips and pops in the hair.  The only way I've been able to get rid of this is to collapse the guides from mesh and surface comb operators.  this fixes the pops but in doing that I have to collapse my length operators that come before the surface comb.  Is there a way to avoid collapsing the ornatrix stack and fix the flipping?

I've looked at the other posts about setting the "quad split" setting.  that is set correctly.  I've also turned on "remember position" in the guides from mesh.  that didnt fix it.

Thanks for any help.

Aaron.

Hi Aaron,

Do you think you can send me a simplified scene showing this, or at least post some screenshots of what the stack and hair looks like? It sounds to me like frizz operator could be causing the problem. If you just turn it off without collapsing are the twitches fixed?

Thanks for the response Marsel.

Attached is the stack before and after collapsing.  After collapsing the random flipping is fixed.  there is some popping now, but it looks more like an interpolation issue more than a random flipping like i had before.

I'll try turning off the frizz to see what that does.
