I have a scene that has rendered fine in the past but after creating some edit guides nodes and collapsing them, I'm now getting this error when I try t batch render Ornatrix Error: Assert failed (5): strandIndex < strandsTransform_.size() && UsesPerStrandTransformations()Ornatrix Error: Assert failed (6): strandIndex < strandsTransform_.size() && UsesPerStrandTransformations() Is there anything I can do to fix this? I can't batch render at the moment. Thanks, Aaron. |
| Hi Aaron, Which renderer are you using? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) |
| V-ray. The scene renders in the viewport, but that error occurs when rendered on our farm. It rendered fine before the last groom changes I made. thanks, Aaron. |
| Does the scene contain any references in it such as alembic files? The error means that some of the strand transforms weren't initialized, but it is hard to say why without looking at the scene. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) |
| yeah i'm attaching the fur to geo that has an alembic animation cache attached to it. I know it's hard to troubleshoot with out seeing it.. i don't think i can share the scene because of NDA stuff. Aaron. |
| Is it possible that the referenced geo is somehow not being loaded in when batch rendering? Maybe a path issue? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) |
| no, i have gone back to a previous version of the groom and it works fine. my workflow has been to create an edit guides node and then collapse it before submitting batch renders. it seemed to give me more reliable results but in doing this multiple times it caused this error. thanks for the feedback. i have it working now that I've gone to a previous version, but I am curious what exactly caused this.
