Ornatrix Maya: Ornatrix for Maya review?

Hello all First of all I would like to wish you Marry Christmas and a happy new year. I have been using Xgen in Maya for production and it is a nightmare. It so unstable and I lost insane amount of time on trying to find ways around all those problems. Im looking for good stable hair and fur plugin for Maya. Ornatrix looks very promising. Does anyone use Maya version in production and can share your experience with it? Is this plugin build on top of the Xgen or is it a completely separate beast?

Jeordanis Figuereo	Hi, Ornatrix is indeed a completely separate beast, it doenst have anything to do with xGen. One recent production where Ornatrix for Maya was used was Duel by Artella: https://vimeo.com/192507032 There is a few other big studios how are working with ornatrix for Maya but as we are under NDA I'm not sure if I can talk about that(I will check). Maybe we can offer you a full preview so you can try Ornatrix by yourself. We have an extensive library of tutorials in youtube where you can learn everything about Ornatrix. andrej.klimov@gmail.com	Thank you for quick response. I will try your demo version and hope it will be enough to make my decision. It was pleasure to see so many tutorials about ornatrix. A lot of other Hair Plugins lack education material and shoot them self’s in a leg with that approach. I look forward to have fun with the demo of Ornatrix for Maya.
