UV multi tile dont work with ornatrix ??

I've try to make a object with multi tile texture and apply a simple fur, everything seems work, but when I try to apply the same shader (with uv multi tile) to the fur, some parts are black.

So I just want to know if Ornatrix can take in charge the Uv multi tile for the fur shader, and if yes, how I can make it do it work properly ?

Hi,

Ornatrix support multi tile UV Since some versions ago, can you upload a screenshot of your scene and your stack operator?

Hi,

thank for your reactivity  !

so here is some screen of what I have on my redshift render, the UV (0,1) work but not the others UV space :/

I send you my scene with my UV multi tile system, I use the LayerTexture for my multi tile UV (since i'm on the ornatrix demo's I can't send you the scene with fur, but I really don't think that the probleme is ornatrix ).

hope you guys can help me ^^

thank.

HI,

Just for say that I have tested the UDIM system to see if I can fix this, but I have the same result :/

Hi,

I think it has to do with the way you are loading the texture files. To correctly use UDIMs with Ornatrix you need to load the texture files in one single one and set the UV tiling option to UDIM (Mari), Maya will automaticaly find all the files who follow the UDIMs naming convention. Also you can use UV tiles from Mudbox and ZBrush. In the image below you can see my setup, I conected the textures to my distribution map to better illustrate my point:

In this render you can see the use of UDIMs tile for fur texturing:

Basically, you can use UV tiles with any Ornatrix operator and fur texturing but you have to be sure you are using the correct naming convention. Smile

thank for your answer :) , I have done the same UDIM system than you, but I have the same result than before :/

The color blue is correctly assigned on fur, but not the other color.
I have render on redshift, maybe redshift has some problem with Ornatrix multi tile color :/

Hi,

I just tried with Redshift 2.0.83 and is working as expected:

Redshift renderer, Lambert Material.

You setup seems to be correct, it should work.

Hi again, I was able to reproduce this issue using your scene and we are looking into it, I will keep you posted. Thanks!

Thank you ! :D I hope you can found something

HI ! its been a while since the last time

I was wondering if you have found some way to fix my UDIM problem ??

Hi, We have found the cause of this problem and we have send the solution to Redshift developers. I will see if there is any news.

Ok thanks, wait and see then :)

HI ! its been a while

I was wondering if Redshift have found some way to fix my UDIM problem ??

Hi,

I think so. Try the latest version of Redshift and let us know.

After a little test with the last version of Redshift, my UDIM work !

Thank you Laughing
