Ornatrix Maya: How to stop hair from penetrating surface

I've got a skull cap that I'm planting hair on, however, when I brush the hair too much it starts to go through the cap... is there any way to prevent this? My hair has to be pretty tight to the cap for the style i'm creating.

Jeordanis Figuereo	Hi Warren, Yes, you can prevent this easily by using the Push Away From Surface button in the Edit Guides operator with a very low value or you can use the Push Away From Suface operator on top of Edit Guides and groom the guides as you please.
