Hi, yes...I'm familiar with distribution / density maps and am using them in this case but they do not solve this particular problem. Because these are feathers, and the strips are large, and because of the topology of the mesh, there are still a few random individual hair strands that are out of place and won't really behave, but the rest of the look has been approved. Ideally there would be a way to "pluck" these individual cases. I have used a feature that did just this in a proprietary hair system at a previous studio and it was really helpful in these cases. I'm sure there are suitable workarounds with ornatrix and I'm just trying to get an idea of what they are. I suppose if I were able to select individual hairs I could also scale the undesired ones down to zero with a scale brush...
