Is there a way to style/place/slide an already grounded hair strip piece over through another hairstyle, then be able to update the target hairstyle?

(for example, if the cube had its own hairstyle (like a braid) on it then affecting the other).

If I understand correctly, you want a hair object to affect the dynamics of another hair object? in this case, a braid affecting the main hair object? You mentioned hair strips, asuming you are using HairFromMeshStrips then you can add the source mesh of the braid to the collision objects list of the Dynamics node.
