I'm trying to save a hair stack that is generated by an alembic curve. It's basically a hair system on a character that the bangs and side burns are simulated with nhair and it's exported out as an alembic. Than I make the hair stack from those curves. I don't won't to build the hair stack for every scene. Is there a way to save the hair stack and switch out the curves while keeping the the modifers above it?
with the ability to switch out the curves without affecting the look of the hair. I found a solution with changing the file path in the maya acsi file.
