I downloaded the latest version from Jan 8th. I downloaded the msi file and clicked install and it said it was successfully installed in the command window but there is no folder or anything and there is no plug-in to load in maya. I then downloaded the 7zip file to install manually and unzipped it to C:/user/document/maya/maya2017/modules and reopened maya. There is still no option to load the plug in in maya's plug in manager. Am I misunderstanding the install directions in the read me file? New to the software so I apologize if I'm missing or forgetting to do something incredibly obvious.

Hello, No need to apologize :) Are you using Kaspersky antivirus? Make sure that your antivirus, firewall or Windows Defender is not blocking our installer. We have reports of Kaspersky reporting our license server as a treat, this is a false positive, our software is 100% clean. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
Thanks for responding I'll try those things and let you know if it works I don't run Kaspersky but make sure my anitvirus and windows isn't blocking it
C:/user/document/maya/maya2017/modules This is not the correct directory. Should be C:\Users\<username>\Documents\maya\modules Are you running full Maya or Maya LT? Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) E-mail: ivan.kolev at ephere dot com Discord: ikolev
Thanks for getting back to me I just switched to Maya 2017 LT does that change the directory?
Maya LT doesn't support any 3rd party plugins, only a few ones provided by Autodesk. Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) E-mail: ivan.kolev at ephere dot com Discord: ikolev
Thankfully i've still got Maya 2016 full version and it seems to be working on my 2016 version now. Thanks for all of your help!
