Push away from surface node issues

Hey,

I'm having trouble with the puah away node. It seems to pinch hairs in a certain area. I'm trying to have a panda's fur collidde with a character.  The resolve collision doesn't work with 1 million hairs. I got the push away node to work if I open and close Maya but that doesn't always work. It seems that the push awy node is bugging. I tried remembering hair and giudes postion, quad split to left, and reuse triangles but that didn't work. Can you help?

I got it. I was thinking about it last night and the hairs were attracted to badly weighted fingers that geometry had both sides of the normal face showing. So I think that reversed side of the normal was actually pulling the hair instead of pushing. Interesting
