I need more details to understand your problem. What do you mean with "It does not work", are you getting any errors, nothing is happening when you pick the braid object as clump pattern?
Have you see our documentation about the Clump operator and clump patterns with the Braid Object? In THIS link you can find how to add clump patterns to the clump operator, including a sample scene. THIS link tells you how the Braid object works, including a sample scene. And HERE, you can find a short demo video. Let me know if the documentation is incomplete or there is something is not well explained.
