I have a pre-built ornatrix asset - feathers spawning from a mesh that is wrapped to an alembic cache.
I have built a secondary orn tree with hair from curves, anchored to a duplicate wrapped spawning mesh that uses the same alembic aniamtions.
The physics/wind and adopt external guides link between the two systems is functional but the main fur mesh double transforms, as the original moves, and the physics/wind system moves also.
I'm not sure how to get around this currently. I saw some undocumented attributes on the adopt external guides node. Does anyone know the function of:
Override Reference Guies
Assign Reference Guides?
I'm not sure if they might be helpful for me
