Hello!

Would it be possible to get a feature where you can export guides that are created in the Ornatrix groom system and then import guides to another groom in the same scene? Sometimes I need more then one groom on one mesh. And usually I have combed guides that I want to use in the new groom. It would be great if there was an option in the "Edit Guides" or "Edit Strands Mode" to export selected guides and a active import Guides button in the other groom/s in the same scene.

PS. The symmetry with group works great!

You can import external guides using "Import Multiple..." option in Edit Guides (it will import curves). For export have you tried adding Curves from Strands at the stack top, duplicating the shape, and then deleting history? You can then import the exported curves in another groom.

Thank you for the answer!

I am trying it now. I was able to get the external curves into new groom, however, no hair wants to grow from them!

My execution was to first create new groom, then only to have one guide in GuidesFromMesh to be able to add EditGuides node. Then I add a EditGuides node and in that I import multiple guides, then I also delete the extra guide. So far it looks as it should, I can edit and combe the guides. But when I turn on the HairFromGuides and nothing happens. I tried to ground the guides, to bake the guides below HairFromGuides. It also usually crashes at this stage. I must be missing some steps!?

Seems like there is some sort of interuption with the "Guide Interpolation" in combination with the "Guide Circle Area Interpolation" in "Guide Selection" withing the "Guide Interpolation"

Hi,

Try turning off Use UVs in HairFromGuides. This may happen if your distribution mesh does not have UVs, depending on the distribution mesh you are using.

I cannot reproduce the crash though, maybe you can share your scene for testing?

The problem seems to be duplicate curves. It happens when importing multiple curves. I scrolled down and selected all my curves and at the same time I was selecting shapes I was also selecting curve transforms. That made the Interpolation go bananas. It works fine now!
