Description: | I am trying to imort spline on the hair cap. Some follow the spline some come in at 90 deg. to the spline other at 180 deg. Very frustrating, it took a long time to making all the spline to controll the hair. Any ideas why this is happening? It would be nice to have something in the manual about this and many other areas. |
Steps to Reproduce: | select imort spline - click on spline - plant the guilde - guide doesn't follow the spline. |

Looks like you are using Guides from Surface here. I would suggest using Guides from Shape. Take a peek at the docs here: https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/ornatrix/docs/components/state_converters/guides_from_shape.html There is also a video on this process here:

Cheers that worked. What would you use import spline for in edit guides? regards R.

old thread, but I'm searching for a solution to this very problem - except import spline does nothing at all in 4.5.5. When you select the pline it highlights yellow for a second then... nothing, no spline imported. Like Ramous I spent a whole day making this spline cap and now it is useless. Guides from Shape are not an option.
