Mass per vertex?

Hi,

I have not actually been able to revisit the hair simulation with Ornatrix in a while as our cloth show has been much more eh..not smooth :)

But we are having a rough time with simulation so I thought I would go back to the sample scene for Moov to see what differences there might be.

The docs show mass per vertex and the sample scene does, but I can not seem to find it?

Also, out of curiosity, are there ways to deform things POST-sim? Collisions are not working well at all, and need a more art-directable approach I think.

Thanks!
Dax

Hello Dax,

It seems like the Mass Per Vertex parameter was removed. We will add it to the next nightly build. Thank you for pointing it out.

Collisions are working fine for me. Make sure Collide With Meshes is checket in the Collisions section.

Ah ok, thank you Jeordanis.

We do have collide with meshes checked, but we also aren't getting a great sim yet either. Starting to focus on the hair more now.

And is there any way to kind of man handle things in a way? Like in nHair you can deform the input curves so you can use that as a target. Can we deform the inital shape over time for art direction?
I didn't see anything in docs or videos yet that hinted at anything like that.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for the next build!

Hey! It seems like MassPerVertex parameter missing again. At this time builds are v4.0.6.30250 and v3.3.6.30241

Is not missing, it was removed from the design. See my reply here
