I imagine this is a fairly typical workflow. To create hair on an alembic character in a T pose, and then be able to transfer and simulate the hair on an animated alembic cache, that will be starting from another pose entirely. Is it just simply a case of saving the groom and being able to reapply and simulate the dynamics of the hair?

Hello, This should be easy to do. First, be aware that the hair is attach to the character that it's on T-Pose and it will follow it's movement, so you have to attach it to the new character. Normally you would just add Ground Strands node and select the new character as distribution mesh, but in your case the new character it's in a different pose. First, you have to blend the pose of the source character with the target, maybe using blend shapes, then you Ground Strands node. See how to use it here. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer.
