Hi Guys, I'm trying to figured it out how to have a full workfkow with ornatrix Maya. We have done our hair on an emitter with maps for distribution and multiple operators. Then we want to export that and re-import everything onto our animated alembic character. Do you have any good tutorials or docs for that? Asset Groom Hair geo + guides -> Asset geo rig -> Animated alembic import procedure. Can't find anything. Thank you

Hi, The easiest way is to Export the groom as Ornatrix Alembic format, Import it back to the scene with your animated character and Ground/Attach the hair roots to the character. Let me know if you have additional questions. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)

Hi, thank you for your answer. But it seems a hard way with some limitation. Our animator will need to animate the guides then we will need to re-apply the groom with the animated guides as an alembic data and with the "emitter" as an alembic data too. If we export Ornatrix ABC, we will not be able to controle the Guide animated by our anmimatin team, right?
Thank you J. Pierre-Luc B.

Basically, It's because our rig already have all the mechanic to quickly have a bouncing effect and counter animation with curves. Secondly, even if I have another way to do that sim, the export ornatrix alembic seems to be kind of buggy on our side. I have 5 differents ornatrix groom on my character and it works fine only on 3. My body and my mustache just completely freeze Maya, then my computer. Seems to use all the RAM i have. Probably too much hair to export? Any tricks for that? Ps: Maya 2022 py3, rocky 8. Thank you.
