Basically, It's because our rig already have all the mechanic to quickly have a bouncing effect and counter animation with curves.
Secondly, even if I have another way to do that sim, the export ornatrix alembic seems to be kind of buggy on our side. I have 5 differents ornatrix groom on my character and it works fine only on 3. My body and my mustache just completely freeze Maya, then my computer. Seems to use all the RAM i have. Probably too much hair to export? Any tricks for that?
