Operator Boxing and Unboxing

One or more Ornatrix modifiers can be "collapsed" into a single groom modifier in a process we call boxing. The functionality of the modifiers will be preserved and some of the parameters of the constituent modifiers can even be exposed and controlled in the UI. Opposite process of "exploding" a groom modifier into many modifiers is called unboxing.

Boxing

To box modifiers:

  1. Select the modifiers in the modifier list. They have to be consecutive (no non-selected modifiers between the top and bottom ones)
  2. Go to the Bake and Box tab in the Attributes section
  3. Press the Box Selected Modifiers button

A new groom modifier will replace the selected modifiers.

Unboxing

To unbox a groom modifier:

  1. Select the modifier in the modifier list
  2. Go to the Attributes section
  3. Press the Unbox button

The groom modifier will be replaced by multiple modifiers which were boxed within it
