To accomplish this Unitscape makes use of custom artist-defined "Instance Sets", which are a set or a composition of objects, which can be applied/scattered to user-defined shapes in a Unitscape Level using a powerful boolean shape system, which seamlessly connects all shapes in the level to enable non-destructive editing workflows and that can also be used to provide better spatial awareness of the entire environment.
