Baked Hair 

Baked Hair modifier stores a state of hair and acts as a base on top of which more hair operators can be applied. It is a result of either baking hair inside the stack or importing hair.

Hair can also be optionally loaded from up to five different Alembic files and merged into the same output. It can also be grounded to a base surface mesh. A percentage of overall hair can be previewed inside the viewport and a full representation will be rendered.
