Multi Feather (Hybrid) 


Creating hairs on the edge of many mesh feathers distributed on a surface 

In the hybrid single mesh example we looked at creating hair at the edge of a single feather for a softer edge to our polygon feathers. In this case we use Ornatrix modifier based workflow to propagate that over a surface for multiple feathers.

This example shows that process and how you might use Ornatrix to generate the feather mesh on a surface, then use that mesh to grow hairs on the sides of all the feathers that have been generated.

This is not necessarily the go to workflow for doing feathers or a headdress but this scene is an interesting hybrid approach that I hope will help you explore the flexibility of Ornatrix in your productions.
