Ray Traced Shadows

Ray tracer shadows in Ornatrix will only work when an accurate ray tracer is used to render the hair. This shadow type does exactly what its name suggests: it uses the ray tracer to see which parts of space are in shadow and which parts aren't. Ray traced shadows are much slower than their optimized alternatives, such as deep shadow maps, and they are mostly designed to work with hair and not external objects.
They do provide much crisper shadows, however, and can be used for very detailed scenes when rendering time is of no essence.



All of the parameters for this component are the same as Ornatrix Shadow Maps and can be referenced from there.
