Partings
Creating a hard part for tight or precise hairstyles
Some hair styles require a very hard or strait part for a precise groom. In this case there are a few parameters that can help. One is to make sure your mesh has proper UVW's and to use the Use UV Coords option in the Interpolation Space section of OX Hair from Guides. This will help to more cleanly separate guides.
Its a good idea to make sure you have proper guide coverage when doing a precise hairstyle like this. In the examples below there is not good guide coverage only to demonstrate how this still can work but its advised to have more then just a few guides to direct the hairstyle.
Very tight parting can depend on the interpolation used. These demo scenes use Affine interpolation which works well with this type of hard parting. Segment interpolation should also work well in these situations
