USD Groom Import
Loading the player ...
Ornatrix uses USD format to store information about its proprietary operator graph used to generate grooms. By using USD grooms you can export and import grooms in a way which preserves the procedural operators used to create them. This is in contrast to Alembic files which only carry the collapsed representation of final hairs, as curves.
To import a USD groom:- Drag it into Unreal Editor's Content Drawer window.
- Or select Add +, Import to /Game option and select the USD file
Afterwards you can drag and drop the added groom asset into the viewport. When the asset is selected, use Ornatrix view window to find the groom's component entry. Click the component groom toggle button to convert the groom to editable groom or back to native UE groom.
