Simulating Grains

Overview

Simulating granular substances in Lucid is similar to simulating fluids. The only difference between liquids and grains is that grains do not use fluid constraints which causes particles to stick together and try to minimize surface area.

Simulating grains

Use the steps outlined in simulating fluids to create a particle volume or a Particle Flow operator set up. Then, in the fluid parameters, turn off the Fluid Constraints parameter. You are now simulating grains.
