Transfer Normals operator 

This operator allows to transfer the normals of the base model or an external mesh to the mesh hair. Particularly useful when using Mesh from Strands to create hairs, fur and feathers for video games or real-time rendering. This allows for a smoother transition between the hair planes and the distribution mesh.

A simple and intuitive UI is provided to add or remove external meshes and set the sample amount.

  • Number of Samples
    The number of closest vertices from source mesh used to calculate vertex normals of the output hair mesh.
  • Use Distribution Mesh Normals
    When on, the normals of the mesh used to generate the hair will also be transferred to the hair mesh.
