Checking for Updates
Ornatrix App can tell you when a newer version is available and guide you to the download, so you do not have to watch the website manually.
How it works
When enabled, the App contacts ephere.com on startup and compares your installed version against the latest published version of Ornatrix App. If a newer version is available, it offers to open your web browser at the download page, where you can log in and download the updated installer.
You can also check at any time from the Help menu by choosing Check for Updates.
The version check sends only the information needed to compare versions; it does not upload your scenes or grooms.
Turning automatic checks on or off
Automatic checking on startup is controlled by a single preference and can be turned off if you prefer to update manually. See Settings and Preferences.
Installing an update
Following the update link takes you to the Ornatrix App downloads page. After logging in, download the installer for your platform and run it. On Windows the installer will close any running instance of Ornatrix App before updating. See Installing and Uninstalling for the full procedure.
