Hair Parting Tool
The Hair Parting tool lets you lay out and edit partings on a distribution surface. A parting is a line along which hair splits into separate flows, like the part on a scalp. Defining partings gives a groom natural breaks and lets you control where hair flows apart rather than blending across a boundary.
Editing parting strips
Partings are represented as strips on the surface, defined by a series of points. With the tool active you can:
- Select parting strip points.
- Move points to reshape a parting.
- Add points to extend or refine a parting.
- Delete points you no longer need.
By placing and shaping these strips you carve a groom into regions of distinct flow, which the surrounding combing and styling then respect.
