Curves from Strands
The Curves from Strands operator converts guides or hair into curves. This is the way to hand Ornatrix strands to other parts of a pipeline that work with curves rather than hair, and to prepare hair for export as curve data. The curves remain driven by the operator stack, so they update non-destructively as you edit the groom and even as it simulates.
Converting strands to curves
Add Curves from Strands above the strands you want to convert. From that point the groom is expressed as curves, while still being produced by the operators below, so you keep full procedural control.
Why convert to curves
- To export hair as curve geometry for rendering or further work in another application.
- To drive other curve-based tools with Ornatrix output.
- To keep a lightweight, non-destructive curve representation that follows your groom.
