Grooms Browser
The Select Groom dialog is how you browse and apply the grooms in your library. It presents the available grooms as thumbnails, so you can recognize a style at a glance before committing to it.
Opening the browser
With a base object selected, choose Groom Preset... to open the dialog. Click a thumbnail to apply that groom to your selected object. See Adding Hair to Objects.
Filtering by selection
The browser only shows grooms that are applicable to what you have selected. If a mesh is selected, you see grooms that grow hair on a surface; other kinds of grooms are hidden. This keeps the choices relevant and prevents applying a groom that cannot work with your geometry.
What is in the library
The library combines the grooms that ship with Ornatrix App and any grooms you have added yourself. Because a groom is simply a saved groom file, you can grow your own library over time. See Template Grooms for how presets and templates relate, and Saving and Loading Grooms for saving grooms.
Related ways to reuse grooms

- Holding and Fetching Grooms quickly stashes and restores the current groom without managing files.
- Graft Grooms places a complete groom onto a chosen area of an existing surface.
