Hardware Requirements 

Ornatrix App relies heavily on your system's CPU, GPU, and RAM to model, simulate, and render millions of high-fidelity hair strands. For optimal performance we recommend a modern CPU with a high core count and high clock frequency, paired with at least 32 GB of RAM.

The App renders its viewport with Vulkan and performs preview rendering with AMD Radeon ProRender, so a dedicated GPU is strongly recommended.

• GPU: A graphics card and driver supporting Vulkan 1.2 or newer. Keep your graphics drivers up to date.
• RAM: 16 GB minimum, 32 GB or more recommended for dense grooms.
• Disk: Solid-state storage is recommended for fast scene and cache loading.

 

Windows 

• Windows 10 (64-bit) or newer.
• A Vulkan 1.2 capable GPU and current drivers.
• VC 2022 runtime

 

Mac 

• macOS 13 Ventura or newer.
• Apple Silicon or a Vulkan-capable configuration.

 

Notes 

• The App is distributed as a 64-bit application only.
